It has been a slow slow week. My lovely children gave me hand foot and mouth so probably should have called the vet ! Not pleasant but I have a lovely husband who has enforced a relaxation rule and keeps sending me back to bed. He has even cooked and not poisoned us which is a bonus. Great start to our 2 week family holiday but at least we are not off to the Lakes for another week…..
Anyway with his leftover chicken ,a poachers pie was order of the day but with the leftover short crust some cinnamon snails were called for…
Cinnamon pastry snails
Take the leftover pastry and form a rectangle , sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon in what ever quantities are desired.
Then roll up completely from the short end and slice into discs.
Place snails on baking paper and tray.
Bake at 200 c for about 15 minutes but check often to avoid burning.
Cool and consume with a childish grin!
