Postcards from Corney Fell

We had a bit of an adventure courtesy of TomTom today. Yes it takes the quickest route but does not always account for the state of the road or track in our instance!

Driving to Muncaster castle , today’s destination chosen by our son as it is haunted, sat nav sent us up and over the wild and desolate landscape of Corney Fell. The driving was not for the faint hearted as was a single track, pot holes, grass growing up the middle of the road and needing to retract wingmirrors at points as so narrow! Once we reached the top and I had started to breathe again the views were incredible. Unsurprisingly  we passed little other than sheep on the barely Tarmac-ed surface.
