We stood on a spot for 45 minutes trying to keep a restless near 3 year old still in the pushchair as safer than having him roadside. First came the crowds excitedly waiting. Then the race marshals on their bikes, followed by 40 odd police outriders and then whoosh it was over!
The Tour of Britain stage 7 raced its way from Camberley to Brighton on Saturday , whizzing through my home town. Now my husband is a cycling fanatic so it was a given that we would be standing waiting for the peloton. What I did not expect was to get carried away in the excitement and snap happy on sports mode on my camera! So If interested I managed to snap Alex Dowsett , the yellow jersey winner from stage 6 ; riding for Omega Pharma the stage 7 winner, Julien Vermote; and the overall winner of the tour , Dylan van Baarle in the bright blue jersey for Garmin Sharp.
