We are challenged to look down for a moment for the weekly photo challenge. Here I am at the Witterings in West Sussex at the start of the year. I remember clearly looking down as had discovered my boots leaked on a paddle in the sea! Advertisements
An afternoon spent making then attempting to fly kites and finally hiding in the grass maze at the wonderfully peaceful Uppark House. My new favourite place to chill.
We mooched over to West Wittering for sandcastle building and dune climbing this morning. No one got wet, no one fell over and no one argued! Yeah result!
The Autumn Go, sit upon the lofty hill, And turn your eyes around, Where waving woods and waters wild Do hymn an autumn sound. The summer sun is faint on them — The summer flowers depart — Sit still — as all transform’d to stone, Except your musing heart. ~Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1833)
Play for my wee ones seems to centre around being inside structures . This week they have been inside a camouflage net, wardrobes, cardboard boxes and today the brilliant beach shelters at Littlehampton. Mostly I wish to be outside rather than inside ; inside involves cooking , cleaning and ironing!
